5G PPP projects and the automotive @ITS 2016

5G PPP projects have a information booth at the 11th European ITS Congress 2016 in Glasgow (Scotland, UK) from 6 to 9 June 2016.
This is an major activity for 5G PPP projects since the automotive seems to be the most motivated and mature vertical sector with regards to 5G. The Congress theme is “Delivering Future Cities Now” and is based on Glasgow’s pioneering work on Smart Cities which recently resulted in a GBP24M award and is based on the City’s and Scotland’s long history of innovation in Intelligent Traffic Control which started in 1967 with Europe’s first computerised traffic control system.
ERTICO ITS Europe organises either an ITS World Congress or an ITS European Congress every year. The ITS World Congress rotates between Europe, the Asia Pacific region and the Americas, returning to Europe every three years. The ITS European Congress is held in the years when there is not a World Congress taking place in Europe.
The 11th European ITS Congress 2016 is organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe in partnership with the European Commission, and hosted by Glasgow City Council and Transport Scotland. The Congress will take place from 6 to 9 June at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) which is just a short walk from the City Centre on the banks of the River Clyde.
