5G-NORMA talk and panel “5G NORMA: A NOvel Radio Multiservice adaptive network Architecture for the 5G era based on Network Slicing” in NGMN Forum, Innovation Session, Montreal (CA) on Oct.13/14

October 13, 2015 - October 15, 2015

The NGMN 5G White Paper is demanding 5G to improve the performance of mobile networks as well as to provide greater flexibility and better support to new business and partnership models. Efficient support of new business models requires this flexibility along the whole end-to-end communication path. As key technology to achieve this high flexibility, the NGMN 5G White Paper promotes Network Slicing: Network slices are mutually isolated, dedicated networks providing customer-specific functionality. 5G NORMA is going to propose an E2E Architecture based on network slicing. It will develop a highly flexible network architecture that adapts the use of the network resources to service requirements and network topology. The presentation will explain 5G NORMA’s innovative functionalities and the key enablers behind that.
